04 / Shot plan
The shots, from shots.json.
5 shots across 15 seconds at 16:9, on the hero-trilogy beat framework.
| Shot | Time (s) | Beat | Framing | Angle | Motion | Subject |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| shot_01 | 0.0 to 3.5 | world | EWS | high | static | A dark rocky coastline at night seen from a high headland, curving away into the right two thirds of the frame. The far half of the coast, cliffs and surf line, resolves into a dense halftone of tiny digits while the near half stays photograph. Coast and code share one continuous shoreline. Left third is open black sky and water. |
| shot_02 | 3.5 to 6.5 | hero | MS | eye-level | push | One person seen from behind, standing at a tall window in a dark room, placed in the right half of the frame. The view beyond the glass continues the night coast and resolves into a fine halftone of tiny digits. The window frame is the only hard edge. Left third is unlit wall. |
| shot_03 | 6.5 to 9.5 | hero | WS | overhead | push | A long dark table seen from directly above with blank printed pages laid in neat rows across the right two thirds. Pages toward the right edge turn into a fine halftone of tiny digits on the same paper. The table surface is the shared surface between photograph and code. Left third is bare black tabletop. |
| shot_04 | 9.5 to 12.0 | transformation | EWS | eye-level | push | One continuous horizon line of light running across black water from the centre to the right edge. On the right side the line dissolves into a thin band of tiny packed digits stretched along the horizon. Water and code share the one horizon. Left third is black water and sky. |
| shot_05 | 12.0 to 15.0 | transformation-cta | EWS | eye-level | static | A wide black field with a single thin horizon of light across the lower third. A faint haze of tiny digits sits above the horizon on the right side only. Most of the frame is empty black. Left third is fully clear. |

Round 1
shot_01ACCEPTAt full size a few glyphs in the cliff field read as 2 or 3 rather than 0 or 1. They are the size of grain and do not read as numbers at viewing size.
shot_02REVISEThe view beyond the glass is a bright grey daytime sky and a sunlit coast. The environment anchor asks for a near-black night scene, and the window reads as the brightest thing in the frame.
shot_03REVISEPages do not turn into digits. The two left columns are blank and the two right columns are fully printed, with a hard switch between them. Every printed page is an even block of black type on white, so density never carries shading and the halftone look is missing. The frame reads as printed code sheets.
shot_04ACCEPTThe bright horizon line runs through the left third at mid height, under where text_04 sits.
shot_05ACCEPTA tiny dark object sits on the horizon at about x 525, inside the left third where whystrohm.com lands.
Round 2
Why this round ran: shot_02 came back REVISE on a daytime view and digits printed on the glass; shot_03 came back REVISE on pages that switch from blank to full print with no halftone shading.
shot_02REVISEThe fix did not take. The view is still a daytime coast: bright grey sky, sunlit sea and a lit beach. 'black night coast' in the subject was not enough against the window.
shot_03ACCEPTAt full size the middle strips carry smudged, half-formed glyphs, some reading as 2, 5 or 7. At viewing size they read as the scatter stage between blank and dense.
Round 3
Why this round ran: shot_02 came back REVISE again in round 2: the view was still daytime and the digits still sat on the glass.
shot_02ACCEPTAt full size many glyphs are 2, 6, 7 or 8 rather than 0 or 1. At viewing size they are grain-sized and read as texture, not numbers.
